Texenza Coffee became an independent coffee company in central Texas in October, 2008. It was founded by Rick Timmins and Robert Gleason and continues to be operated by both. We were previously a franchise organization and have been making coffee for our guests in central Texas since 2001.

Texenza was born from the Italian word "essenza" meaning essence, in effect the essence of coffee. We decided to put a Texas spin on that word and created the word "texenza" or the essence of Texas coffee.

Our tag line is "Grounds for Independence". We saw the analogy in the word "grounds" to be a meeting place where people gather as well as meaning in the use with the word "coffee grounds". Also independence was selected because of our desire be an independent coffee provider rather than operating as a national chain.

We are committed to providing excellent coffee, delicious food and a meeting place for friends and family.
